Satellites Update
All the satellite instruments
have been built and tested.
The THEMIS engineering
team has started or completed
assembling the instruments on
4 of the 5 satellites (probe
buses).
1 of these completed probes
has been to the Jet Propulsion
Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena,
CA for testing
We created a slide show about
this JPL testing:
People in white clean suits holding wires and a control box with the probe on its roll-over cradle above the huge coils
Paul and Greg monitoring the vibration test
