Introduction:  The Search for Ice and Snow

For some communities, having enough water is not a problem. But some areas in the world are arid or prone to droughts. For people living in those places, where to get water is crucial. In some arid areas, water can come from snow and ice found on nearby high mountains.

Pretend that you are on the Earth task force for drought prevention. Your preliminary task is to do a global search for places on Earth that have ice or snow.

Before you head off to report "Snow and Ice sites" see if you have a world map to refer to. Check with your teacher if you don't.
