Table of Contents
The site URL loads a table of contents page. The
table of contents (TOC) page is fully loaded when  the comet animation cycles through without stopping. The page should fit entirely within a  browser window, even on small screens. Enlarge the window to full-screen size if necessary.

To load any of the lesson's sections, click on its title bar on the left. For example, you may want to start by clicking the link to Comet Gallery at upper left. The table of contents will disappear, but we'll see how to get it back anytime.

Navigating the sections
You can continue from one page to the next using the navigation bar at the bottom of each page. The sections will follow one another in the order they appear in the tabs on the table of contents.

Navigation bar: Loads last page, Table of Contents, or next page

Click on Table of Contents to reload that first page; you will always have that option. "Continue" loads the next section or page; from Play the Game that would be Make a Comet.  Thus it is possible to proceed through all the content pages without returning to the Table of Contents.

Click "Back" to return to the previous page in the section. If you're at the beginning of the section already, "Back" steps to the end of the previous section. For example, clicking "Back" at the bottom of the Play the Game page loads the last Origin of Comets page.

Some sections, like Make a Comet and Killer Comets? have several or many pages.  Each page still has  similar navigation system, including links to the Table of Contents, or to the front of the section, where you will find a TOC link--it may look a little different, but it will work the same way.

Make a Comet

The Make a Comet section shows how to make a comet, with pictures, captions, and audio files, for a simulated comet-making experience. The navigation is very similar to the other sections. A navigation bar  lets you step back or forward, back up to the Table of Contents, or to this help page at any step along the way.  If you  need help with getting the right plug-in applications to play the audio, see the Teaching Tips page.

While this section can be fun to read, it's a lot more fun to make one yourself!
