NASA Investigations E/PO Proposal Support
A student uses a telescope to project an image of the Sun and record the positions of sunspots.
The NASA Office of Space Science (OSS) recognizes the significant capacity for NASA missions and discoveries to inspire and enlighten the K-12 and general public communities in the subjects of science, mathematics, and technology. Elevation of scientific and technological literacy is a primary national goal, with discoveries about Aurora, the Sun, the solar system, the galaxy, and the universe serving as an extraordinary platform for education and public outreach.

The OSS has made an important long-term commitment to integrating education and public outreach into OSS flight missions and research programs and is now required to include a substantive segment (1-2% of the overall budget) on Education and Public Outreach (E/PO).

If you are preparing a “NASA Investigations Proposal”, SEGway can provide collaboration as co-investigators in your E/PO by designing and implementing effective programs, providing high visibility events, bringing current research to classrooms, museums, and the general public, and leveraging resources through an extensive network of educational institutions across the country.

Below are some key resources that explain the goals, objectives, and evaluation criteria for NASA E/PO proposals:
