Course Outlines
Astronomy and Space Science
As part of the development of the 9th grade Astronomy curriculum, we have put together several course outlines that draw upon the scope and sequence.
- 6 week unit
- This course outline is designed to briefly introduce major ideas of astronomy along with the scientific method and basic science skills. The curriculum begins with the Earth's place in the solar system and is designed to follow a geology/Earth science unit which may include basics of the Earth's place in the solar system. Optional activities on life origins and the possibility of life in other solar systems could lead into a life sciences unit.
