Back This image shows a projection of the whole sky as surveyed by the EUVE satellite during six months after launch. Since EUV radiation cannot be seen by our eyes, the blue color is computer generated. However, the variation in intensity is due to real variations in the EUV intensity from sources and background in the sky. The Moon and Orion's belt are familiar celestial objects. Other features in this map are data gaps and instrumental effects. Next
