Back This artist's rendering shows three primary phases of the EUVE satellite mission. The all-sky survey (left, top) has yielded the location and brightness of extreme ultraviolet sources, while the Deep Survey instrument (left, bottom) revealed fainter sources in the sky. Guest Investigators from around the world use the Spectrometer telescope to obtain spectral data (right) of selected sources, to gain a deeper understanding of both the objects radiating Extreme Ultraviolet and the intervening interstellar gas.
