Prepare for Search

 Look for Earth Images  |  Report Findings  

When you look at images of Earth, areas of ice and snow may look similar to other areas that may have a white color, especially clouds. Sometimes clouds have sort of a fluffy look, but not always.

When you find a place with ice or snow...

• Get as much the following data as you can:
  1. URL (web address)
  2. Geographic location
  3. Latitude and longitude
  4. Other identifying info, such as NASA Photo ID number
• Mark the place on a world map -- If you can, write the name of the place on the map as well.
• Print the image or download it onto disk.
  (If you don't know how, ask your teacher)

To organize your data, make a table like this:

Note:  Add as many rows as you need
