• E-mail sent to 2500 K-12 educators asking if interested in a survey about SETI@home and education possibilities

• 200 replied expressing interest

• On-line survey created
  - Characteristics of respondent (subject taught, grade level, etc.)
  - Use of Internet
  - Use of on-line space science resources (pertinent to NVO)

• 200 surveys e-mailed

• 49 responded (Note: typical survey response rate is 10%)
