EUVE Science Operations Center at UC Berkeley. Science Operations Center scientists, staff, and UC Berkeley undergraduate students work closely with Goddard Space Flight Center mission support personnel to coordinate the acquisition of scientific data and to command the spacecraft and science instruments. Use of artificial intelligence software that automatically monitors and reports health and safety of the spacecraft have reduced the need for round-the-clock monitoring at the Science Operations Center from 24-hours to currently 8 hours per day. In the near future, the EUVE spacecraft will be completely monitored and commanded by artificial intelligence software with only minimal human intervention.
