Facilitate participation of HESSI scientists and technical personnel in EPO - they contribute by:
Providing expertise and interpretation of HESSI discoveries
Collaborating in HESSI high-visibility events and teacher workshops
Participating in on-line chats with the general public and schools
Partnering with teacher and summer interns
Reviewing curricular materials for science accuracy
Adapt HESSI imagery, research, and discoveries for use by broad audiences
Lesson plans and other curriculum support materials
Resources featuring the importance of the Sun in diverse cultures
Web-based self-guided modules
Webcasts for the general public
Kits and models
Disseminate EPO resources through national networks
Coordinate all resources with SEC Education Forum
Tap existing national network of science museums
Distribute resources through NASA/Educator Resource Centers
Tap High-Leverage Opportunities
Partner with national cadre of science museums
Take advantage of high-visibility natural events, i.e. solar eclipses
Use Internet technology, when appropriate
Collaborate with curriculum specialists in large, diverse, urban school districts
