This is my first year teaching 9th - 12th grade physical science at Lincoln High School. I was fortunate to have been hired by the district as a student teacher. Being inexperienced, it has been a difficult year. I find that my "bag of tricks" is limited. I am heartened by the fact that there are so many people out there willing to help the beginning teacher (or any teacher for that matter). The folks at the U. C. Berkeley Center for Extreme Ultraviolet Astrophysics and the Exploratorium Teacher Institute have been wonderful. I hope that by developing this lesson plan for this mosaic page I can help others survive the teaching profession.
