Directions:

• Turn right out of the parking lot onto Marina Boulevard.

• Turn left onto University Avenue.

• Turn left onto Oxford street.

• At the second light (Hearst Ave.), turn right.

• At the second light (Gayley Road), turn right.

• At the first stop sign (Stadium Rim Way), turn left.

• You will curve around behind the Memorial Stadium.  Make a left at the first stop sign onto Centennial Drive. 

• Go 1 mile to the top of the hill. The road will curve around. You will pass the Lawrence Hall of Science (on the left) & a series of parking lots (on the right). As you head up another short hill, there will be a road off to the right. Take that road. (There is a sign that says Space Sciences Lab, but it is hard to see). The Space Sciences Lab is at the top of that hill. The Center for Science Education is located in the new building, to the left as you drive up. Parking in the lot requires a permit which can be obtained from the Center’s staff.

  Directions:

• Start out going Northwest on Tunnel Road/CA-13 towards Domingo Ave. by turning right.

• Tunnel Rd/CA-13 becomes Ashby Ave./CA-13.

• Turn right onto Claremont Ave.

• Turn left onto Claremont Boulevard.

• Stay straight to go onto Belrose Ave.

• Turn left onto Derby Street.

• Turn right onto Warring Street.

• Turn slight left onto Piedmont Cres.

• Piedmont Cres. becomes Piedmont Ave.

• Follow Piedmont Avenue until you reach Stadium Rim Way, your third stop sign.

• Turn right and follow the curve around behind the Memorial Stadium.  Make a left at the first stop sign onto Centennial Drive.

Directions:

By Shuttle

• Walk from the Faculty Club to Hearst Mining Circle (by Evans Hall).

• Take the Hill Shuttle (fee is $0.50) up the hill.  The last stop is at the Space Sciences Lab.  Enter the doors directly opposite the bus exit for the Center for Science Education.

Driving

• Start @ Gayley.  Stadium Rim Way is perpendicular to Gayley.  Cross Gayley street to follow Stadium Rim Way around the side of the stadium.

• Make a left at the first stop sign, onto Centennial Drive.
