Driving Directions from SFO and Oakland International
Airports:
From Oakland Airport - I-880 North (also San Jose, Fremont)
- Stay in left center lanes
- Exit 80 East (to Berkeley)
- Exit at University Avenue and
veer right.
- Continue East on University
Avenue for approximately 2 miles to Oxford Street. Turn left onto
Oxford Street.
- At the second light (Hearst Ave.), turn right.
- At the second light (Gayley Road), turn
right.
- At the first stop sign (Stadium Rim Way), turn
left.
- You will curve around behind the Memorial
Stadium. Make a left at the first stop sign onto Centennial Drive.
- Go 1 mile to the top of the hill. The road will
curve around. You'll pass the Lawrence Hall of Science (on the left) & a
series of parking lots (on the right). As you head up another short hill,
there will be a road off to the right. Take that road. (There is a sign that
says Space Sciences Lab, but it is hard to see). The Space Sciences Lab is
at the top of that hill. The Center for Science Education is located in the
new building, to the left as you drive up. Parking in the lot requires a
permit which can be obtained from the Center's staff.
From San Francisco International Airport (SFO) - Highway 101 North (also San
Francisco/Daly City)
- Follow 101 North and then
switch to 80 East, San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge
- After the Bay Bridge, Exit to
I-80 East (Berkeley/Sacramento)
- Exit on University Avenue and
veer right.
- Continue East on University
Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street. Turn left onto
Oxford Street.
- At the second light (Hearst Ave.), turn right.
- At the second light (Gayley Road), turn
right.
- At the first stop sign (Stadium Rim Way), turn
left.
