Tahuantinsuyu
The Inca empire, Tahuantinsuyu. It was one of the greatest states
ever to develop in the Americas, and the ruling Inca asserted
their right to rule it through their position as children of
Inti, the Sun god. In the opening years of the 17th century,
an indigenous writer, Guaman Poma de Ayala, drew this map of
Tahuantinsuyu. Watching over it were the Sun, Moon, and stars.
