3115 - "The Spindle Galaxy" is classified as a type "S0"
galaxy. This lens-shaped shaped galaxy has a bright nucleus, but no spiral
structure. You are looking at this galaxy almost exactly edge-on. It would
be easy to mistake this for an elliptical galaxy.
