SBc Barred Spiral Galaxies

SBc Barred Spiral GalaxyNGC 3992 or M109 is classified as an SBc barred spiral galaxy. It is in the constellation Ursa Major (The Big Dipper). It has a well defined bar across the center, glowing clumps of stars. The spiral arms have empty space between them.
